The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office seized Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins’s cattle without a warrant. Mr. Mothershead teamed with Brazil Clark, Pllc. to pursue justice for the family. In october 2023, a jury awarded the hopkins’s $485,001 in damages.
